*The CIB Egyptian Squash Open 2025 Concludes with an Exceptional Finale Crowning Mostafa Asal and Hania El Hammamy as champions*

*After its Remarkable Return to the Glass Court at the Giza Pyramids,*
*and in the presence of the Minister of Youth and Sports*

Against a spectacular backdrop and in the presence of H.E. Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Mr. Ahmed Abdel Khalek, General Director of the General Administration of Tourism and Sports Events, the second edition of the Diamond-level CIB Egyptian Squash Open 2025 came to a close today on the iconic glass court set before the Pyramids of Giza. The tournament followed ten days of intense competition featuring the world’s top squash players.
In the men’s final, World No. 1 Mostafa Asal claimed the title after defeating World No. 2 Diego Elias 3–1, with game scores of (11-9 / 11-9 / 12-10 / 11-7). This victory marks his second consecutive title, following his triumph in last year’s edition. In the women’s final, World No. 3 Hania El Hammamy was crowned champion after overcoming World No. 5 Amina Orfi 3–1, with game scores of (11-6 / 11-5 / 8-11 / 11-4). Both finals stood out as among the most remarkable matches of the season on the PSA World Tour calendar. The tournament’s total prize pool reached US$732,000, shared equally between the men’s and women’s draws.
The tournament was held under the auspices of the Ministries of Youth & Sports and Tourism & Antiquities, sponsored by the Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB), and in partnership with O West, Orascom Development’s integrated town; Zeekr as automotive partner; and Influence Communications as media partner, with iEvents serving as the official organizer. The edition welcomed 152 players from 29 countries competing for the prestigious titles.
On this occasion, H.E. Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, stated:
