Majid Al Futtaim Delivers Food, Clothing, and Support to Families Across Egypt During Ramadan

: Majid Al Futtaim, the leading pioneer in shopping malls, communities, retail, and leisure across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, marked the holy month of Ramadan with a series of initiatives to support local communities in Egypt. This year, the company launched three initiatives across its malls in collaboration with its teams, brands, and trusted charitable partners, reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility and community support.

Through active employee engagement and strategic partnerships with credible charitable organizations, Majid Al Futtaim provided essential support to families navigating difficult times. Through the ‘We’ve Got Your Back’ initiative, the company distributed 1,600 Ramadan boxes to mall staff. In partnership with 180 Degrees Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering communities, 750 hot meals were packed and distributed to vulnerable members of society. Additionally, in collaboration with the Egyptian Clothing Bank, Majid Al Futtaim distributed over 200 Eid clothing kits, collected through donation points across its malls, enabling visitors to contribute garments for redistribution to underprivileged families ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
Rasha Azab, Managing Director – Shopping Malls, Egypt and Lebanon at Majid Al Futtaim commented: “Ramadan reminds us that the most meaningful impact begins with human connection – the moments that bring communities together and the acts of kindness that support families in need. Through the collective efforts of our teams and partners, we have been able to extend this spirit of giving to more families this year, while continuing to foster a culture of generosity and collaboration.”
Majid Al Futtaim continues to support local communities through its broader social responsibility efforts, including partnerships with organizations such as the Egyptian Food Bank and initiatives like Orphans’ Day, where it hosts dedicated experiences for children across its malls. These efforts reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to strengthening communities and creating meaningful impact beyond the Ramadan period.
