*Egyptian Domination in the Quarterfinals of the CIB Egyptian Squash Open 2025 at the Pyramids of Giza

The first day of the quarterfinals of the CIB Egyptian Squash Open 2025, held on the glass court in front of the iconic Pyramids of Giza, came to a close today. The matches saw Egyptian players continue their dominance with strong performances in a highly charged atmosphere.
In the men’s competition, Egypt’s World No.1 Mostafa Asal opened the day with a win over compatriot Youssef Soliman, World No.8, to book his place in the semifinals. In another match, Egyptian Karim Abdel Gawad, ranked World No.6, claimed victory over his opponent, setting up a highly anticipated semifinal clash with Asal.
On the women’s side, World No.1 Nouran Gohar secured her place in the semifinals after defeating Belgium’s Tinne Gilis, the World No.6. Joining her is Egypt’s Hania El Hammamy, the World No.3, who booked her spot in the last four with a win over Belgium’s Nele Gilis, ranked World No.12.
