The semifinals of the CIB Egyptian Squash Open 2025 came to a close today on the glass court in front of the Pyramids, with unforgettable matches and high excitement.
World No. 1 Mostafa Asal continued his fine form, defeating compatriot Karim Abdel Gawad (World No. 6) to secure his place in the final.
On the women’s side, the matches delivered big surprises. Hania El Hammamy (World No. 3) overcame fellow Egyptian and World No. 1 Nouran Gohar, booking her spot in the final and marking one of the most significant moments in her career. Meanwhile, Amina Orfi (World No. 4) earned her place in the final after a commanding performance against compatriot Fayrouz Aboelkheir (World No. 11).

Egypt’s Mostafa Asal moved one step closer to the title, beating Karim Abdel Gawad 3–1 in a thrilling 64-minute encounter.

Hania El Hammamy advanced to the final with a straight-games win over Nouran Gohar, taking the match in 49 minutes.

Finally, Amina Orfi continued her impressive run, defeating Fayrouz Aboelkheir in straight games to guarantee an all-Egyptian women’s final. Game scores: 11–1, 11–3, 11–6.
