Edita recorded record results in light of the increase in revenues at an annual rate of 22.2% to record 5 billion pounds during the second quarter of 2025, and the net profit rose at an annual rate of 72.1% to reach 539 million pounds during the same period.

This strong performance comes thanks to the remarkable growth of quantities sold

The cake, baked goods and crisps sectors recorded a strong increase in the volume of quantities sold with quarterly growth rates of 7.8%, 47.6% and 34.5% respectively during the second quarter of 2025.

Export sales increased at an annual rate of 47.7%, recording 451 million pounds during the second quarter of 2025, which is in line with Edita’s expansion strategy to consolidate its position regionally and maximize the benefit of high demand rates and promising growth opportunities in export markets.

At the regional level, Edita Morocco achieved strong revenue growth at an annual rate of 44.3% during the second quarter of 2025, supported by Edita’s continuous efforts to expand its presence throughout the Moroccan market, which resulted in more spread.

Within the framework of Edita’s expansion plans in the Iraqi market, especially after the agreement it signed in January 2025, where the company transferred a new production line for baked goods to Baghdad to accelerate the start of manufacturing in the Iraqi market, which is scheduled to start at the end of 2025.

This step comes within the framework of the expansion plans adopted by Edita to benefit from the promising growth opportunities that the Iraqi market pulsates and strengthen its presence as a factory after it succeeded in building a force presence through export, which provides an opportunity for greater spread of its products in the Iraqi market.

In this context, Eng. Hani Barzi, CEO of Edita Group for Food Industries, expressed his pride in the results achieved by the company during the second quarter of this year, which reflect the flexibility of its business model.

Barzi pointed out that Edita’s success in strengthening its product portfolio resulted in the growth of profitability during the period, which confirms the efficiency of the company’s strategy and its benefit from the improvement of purchasing power in the market.
